Required Candidate Profile;
● Education: Apparel or Textile Engineering from a reputed university
● Specialization: Intimate Wear & Knitted Fabrics
● Technical Mastery: Expert-level understanding of knitted fabric constructions,
properties and the nuances of lingerie components (trims, elastics, and bonding tapes).
● Experience: Minimum 15 years in apparel sourcing
● Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Indian retail landscape and a
pre-established network of global raw material suppliers.
● Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel and data-driven decision-making regarding inventory and procurement.
● Preferred Industry: Retail / Fashion Apparel

About the Role;
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Sourcing & Merchandising Head to lead our end-to-end
product development and supply chain strategy. As a core leader for our period underwear
brand, will be responsible for building a robust, agile, and cost-effective sourcing network with a
specific focus on high-performance knitted fabrics.
Should be able to bridge the gap between design vision and commercial viability, ensuring our
products meet international quality standards while maintaining competitive price points for the Indian market.
Key Responsibilities;
1. Strategic Sourcing & Fabric Expertise;
● Fabric Innovation: Leverage deep technical knowledge of circular and warp-knit and
other innovative fabrics & trims - both natural and synthetic
● Vendor Ecosystem: Develop and manage a diverse portfolio of strategic vendors
across India and abroad.
● Cost Engineering: Lead price negotiations and "cost-to-make" breakdowns to ensure
healthy gross margins without compromising product integrity.
2. End-to-End Merchandising Managemen;
● Calendar Ownership: Manage the Critical Path (TNA) from concept to warehouse
delivery, ensuring 100% on-time launches.
● Range Planning: Work closely with the Design and development team to translate
trends into a commercially viable product mix.
● Production Oversight: Monitor factory capacities and production milestones to mitigate
risks of delays or quality lapses.
3. Quality & Compliance;
● Establish stringent quality control protocols specific to intimate wear (AQL levels, color
fastness, and fit consistency).
● Ensure all vendor partners comply with social, ethical, and environmental standards
(BSCI, OEKO-TEX, etc.).
4. Leadership & Team Development;
● Mentor, guide and lead high-performing team members.
● Should be able to delegate the work to team members & ensure smooth work deliveries
● Should be able to work through digital transformation tools (PLM, ERP) to streamline sourcing workflows.
